Shiny Fuecoco, evolution chart, 100% perfect IV stats, and Skeledirge’s best moveset in Pokémon Go
Everything to get the most out of March Community Day!
If you’re a fan of the Fire Croc, you’re in luck! The March 2025 Community Day is all about Fuecoco in the world of Pokémon Go.
This is a great choice for a Community Day. First, we all love starter Pokémon. Second, look at that little face! Third, we get not one, but two new moves for its final evolution, Skeledirge, and fourth, we get a new shiny. It's not a good shiny, but it is a new shiny
But first, what is a Community Day? For the uninitiated, this is a reoccurring Pokémon Go event that celebrates a specific Pokémon, while boosting shiny rates and offering an exclusive move, along with a whole host of other bonuses!
Fuecoco will be popping up en masse throughout the event, this is the best chance we've had for catching a Fuecoco with 100% perfect IV stats and, if you achieve this feat, it's a good idea to know its evolution Skeledirge’s best moveset.
Even if you're not fussed on this month's Community Day Pokémon, there are a multiple other bonuses that may get you out and about, including the triple catch Stardust bonus!

Fuecoco 100% perfect IV stats in Pokémon Go
This month's Community Day is the perfect opportunity to find a Fuecoco with perfect IV stats in Pokémon Go.

'Perfect' means two things in Pokémon Go, depending on how you plan to use a given Pokémon. First, there’s the maxed out, 100% IV version, which is the 15/15/15 you’re looking for your 4* Pokédex, raids and Master League. Yet, because of how CP is calculated using three stats, a perfect IV Pokémon is generally only ever the best version of itself in the Master League.
Of course, you can’t see the IV of a Pokémon without catching it first, but with a little research beforehand, you can quickly spot a perfect Fuecoco based on the CP alone.
If you’re at Level 30 (or above), you’ll ideally be looking for the following CPs for a perfect 15/15/15 Fuecoco:
The wild CP value aligns with your Trainer Level until you reach Level 30 and, due to the majority of the player base now being above this level, we’ve kept to these values for the sake of simplicity. These values will, however, be different if you’re currently below Level 30.
The Might and Mastery Season has arrived. The Festival of Colors is currently running in Pokémon Go. You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, however, you need to visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest. Don't forget to try out Routes, Gift Exchange and Party Play while you're hunting down rare Pokémon, fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases.
Fuecoco evolution chart: What do Fuecoco and Crocalor evolve into?
Fuecoco evolves into Crocalor. Both are categorised as the Fire Croc Pokémon, but since Crocalor is a starter middle-evolution, it doesn't make a difference what it's called. It's here long enough for all of about a minute before you evolve it again!

This Paldean starter is basically a baby crocodile, with fiery tufts on its head. Some have theorised that it is also a ghost pepper, in a nod to it final evolution.
Crocalor, meanwhile, is a slightly larger crocodile with a skull-like design on its face - possibly a not to Día de Muertos (the Mexican Day of the Dead) - and a fiery sombrero with an egg-shaped fireball on its head.
The final evolution, Skeledirge, is the exciting but. The Singer Pokémon is a Fire/Ghost-type, and a fully grown crocodile with a firebird on its snout. This bird, rumour has it, hatched from Crocalor's fiery egg, is likely a reference to the Egyptian plover (crocodile bird), which lives symbiotically with real crocodiles, cleaning between the croc's teeth. It's basically nature's toothbrush.
There are many theories as to the real-world inspiration of Skeledirge itself - some cite the Egyptian god Sobek, other Spanish and Brazilian folklore. Either way, Skeledirge is something unique - an epic Pokémon that attacks by singing a song. Its name is a portmanteau of Skeleton and Dirge, but this Pokémon doesn't sing the slow funeral march its name implies. Instead, its Japanese name, Laudbon (loud bone) shows just how metal this Pokémon is. That said, it can also sing a song that sooths the souls of all who hear it - so... SkeleBallad?
Either way, it's cool and we like it.
You can read more about the Fuecoco evolution line in its official Pokédex entries below:
Fuecoco: It lies on warm rocks and uses the heat absorbed by its square-shaped scales to create fire energy. Its flame sac is small, so energy is always leaking out. This energy is released from the dent atop Fuecoco’s head and flickers to and fro.
Crocalor: The combination of Crocalor’s fire energy and overflowing vitality has caused an egg-shaped fireball to appear on the Pokémon’s head. The valve in Crocalor’s flame sac is closely connected to its vocal cords. This Pokémon utters a guttural cry as it spews flames every which way.
Skeledirge: The fiery bird changes shape when Skeledirge sings. Rumour has it that the bird was born when the fireball on Skeledirge’s head gained a soul. Skeledirge’s gentle singing soothes the souls of all that hear it. It burns its enemies to a crisp with flames of over 5,400 degrees Fahrenheit.
For those of you outside the US, that's 2982 centigrade. That's almost the melting point of tungsten - the stuff they make space shuttles out of because it famously has one of the highest melting points on the periodic table.

Fuecoco evolves into Crocalor with 25 Fuecoco Candy in Pokémon Go. Crocalor, in turn, evolves into Skeledirge with another 100 Fuecoco Candy.
March's Community Day event runs between 2pm and 5pm (local time), so you’ll have three hours to gather as much Fuecoco Candy as possible, to ensure you can fully evolve it!
If you're hurting for Candy, use Pinap Berries and Silver Pinap Berries to double the amount of candy you earn from catching, and make sure to have a Fire-type Pokémon Mega Evolved - Mega Charizard or Mega Blaziken will do fine.
Skeledirge's moves and best moveset recommendation
Skeledirge was actually pretty decent in Go Battle League in the run up to this Community Day event. The fact that it is getting not one, but two new moves can only make things better.

Until now, it has been best in Ultra League, and reasonable in Great League. The issue is that its attack stat is more than its defence, meaning that it is underlevelled compared to a lot of the meta. It also has five weaknesses to be aware of.
Skeledirge’s weaknesses:
- Dark
- Ghost
- Ground
- Rock
- Water
So, there are a lot of problem Pokémon running around that can ruin Skeledirge's day.
Until now, the best moveset has been Incinerate, Shadow Ball and Disarming Voice. As of this Community Day, Skeledirge is getting the exclusive Charged move Blast Burn. This is a strict upgrade on Flamethrower, and possibly a sidegrade to Shadow Ball. It's better than Disarming Voice, but the Fairy-type coverage is pretty nice.
The complicating factor is Skeledirge's signature move, Torch Song, being added to its normal move pool (i.e. you can get it without using an Elite TM). We know that it will have 70 power and increase Skele's attack by one stage. What we don't know is its Energy cost. If it's 45, it will be better than Disarming Voice, which costs the same and doesn't have STAB. If it's 50 (or more), it becomes less exciting, but still a potential gamechanger.
For now, we recommend that you evolve your Skeledirge and give them Blast Burn. Wait to see what Torch Song costs before you decide whether to get rid of Blast Burn. Until then, here's Skeledirge's full moveset:
Skeledirge Fast Moves
- Bite (Dark)
- Incinerate (Fire)
Skeledirge Charged Moves
- Crunch (Dark)
- Disarming Voice (Fairy)
- Flamethrower (Fire)
- Shadow Ball (Ghost)
- Torch Song (Fire)
Skeledirge Legacy Fast Moves
- Blast Burn (Fire)
What do shiny Fuecoco, Crocalor and Skeledirge look like?
This Community Day offers the first chance to catch shiny Fuecoco, Crocalor and Skeledirge, so you may be wondering what the shiny versions of these Pokémon look like.
As you can see, shiny Fuecoco looks pretty awful. All they did was make it pink.
There's nothing wrong with pink shinies - we love the purple ones. The problem is it's too close to the original. Imagine if it had a white body, red face and black (or violet) hair? It could have looked so cool...
Lazy shinies are just disappointing. Sadly, this is conserved shiny Crocalor is a pastelly purple colour, with virtually no other changes.
At least Skeledirge is magenta and cream - a little more different than the two who came before. It's still not great, but it's begrudgingly acceptable.

Thanks to Reddit user YelloWool for the handy comparison!
Remember, if you catch a shiny Fuecoco and want to evolve it into a shiny Crocalor and then a shiny Skeledirge during event hours, it will learn the exclusive move Blast Burn. If you want to do this, we recommend waiting until the end of the event before evolving your shiny Fuecoco. You never know, the next one you catch could be a perfect shiny Fuecoco!
