Pokémon Go Might and Mastery hemisphere Pokémon, seasonal spawns and end date
Everything you need to know about the Season of Might and Mastery.
Might and Mastery is the eighteenth Pokémon Go Season and sees even more Gen 8 Pokémon to the game.
The headliners of Might and Mastery are Kubfu and its evolution, Urshifu. Throughout this Pokémon Go Season, you'll have the chance to earn one of its two forms - Single Strike Style or Rapid Strike Style. (Getting both involves parting with some cash of course.)
Like every previous season, Might and Mastery includes changes to the egg pools, seasonal spawns and which Pokémon are appearing in the northern and southern hemispheres.

Pokémon Go Might and Mastery start and end date: When will the Season of Might and Mastery end?
Might and Mastery has a start time of Tuesday 4th March at 10am (local time) and will end on Tuesday 3rd June at 10am (local time). Season 22 of the Go Battle League will be running throughout this time period too, bringing the traditional three leagues and selection of special cups.

These start and end dates continue the change made to the Season start time which began during the Max Out Season. In the past Seasons typically began on the first day of a month, but, like Max Out, this date fell on a weekend for Might and Mastery. Due to this, it was moved to a weekday - keep this change in mind when planning your Pokémon Go adventures.
The Might and Mastery Season has arrived. The Festival of Colors is currently running in Pokémon Go. You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, however, you need to visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest. Don't forget to try out Routes, Gift Exchange and Party Play while you're hunting down rare Pokémon, fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases.
Might and Mastery bonuses in Pokémon Go
There are four season-long bonuses running throughout the Might and Mastery Season of Pokémon Go. The first two are raids related to increased friendship bonus damage for raids and players who are Level 31 or above being guaranteed to receive one Rare Candy XL when defeating a five-star raid boss during a Raid Hour.
Level 31 or above players are also guaranteed to earn one Candy XL when trading throughout Might and Mastery. Finally, everyone will see increased Stardust for their first catch of the day.
Research breakthrough-wise, from Tuesday 4th March to Tuesday 3rd June, you'll be able to earn an encounter with these Pokémon: Alolan Marowak, Mawile, Druddigon, Jangmo-o, Charcadet and Frigibax.

Might and Mastery roadmap in Pokémon Go
We've got a good idea of what Might and Mastery will bring to Pokémon Go during March, so let's take a look.

Firstly, the Might and Mastery Special Research quest will become available on Wednesday 5th March at 10am (local time). You'll have until Tuesday 3rd June at 9:59am (local time) to claim this quest, but, once unlocked, you're free to complete it whenever you like. Just keep in mind that the quest steps will be released throughout the season, so it's impossible to complete the Might and Mastery Special Research quest on its release date.
Yet, you'll want to complete this quest as it will lead you to catching a Dynamax Kubfu. You can then evolve this little bear into either a Single Strike Style or Rapid Strike Style Urshifu. Want both? Well then you can purchase the pay-to-play Might and Mastery Special Research - A Second Path quest between Wednesday 5th March at 10am (local time) to Wednesday 10th March at 8pm (local time). It will cost $8 or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency. This purchase will be nonrefundable and can not be done using PokéCoin. After purchasing this quest, you can complete it whenever you like as, unlike the free version, the quest steps are not tied to the season release schedule.

Leaving the pay-to-play aspects of Pokémon Go behind, there are a number of new Pokémon you'll be able to catch for free during the Might and Mastery Season. Thanks to the official Might and Mastery blog post, we know that Nickit and Thievul will be arriving during this season. These foxes hail from Gen 8 and we'll see at least two other Gen 8 Pokémon, because I spotted Sizzlipede (who evolves into Centiskorch) in the Might and Mastery trailer. We don't know when these new Pokémon will be released, but keep an eye out for them during future events.
Might and Mastery also sees the release of three new legendary Dynamax Pokémon - Dynamax Raikou, Dynamax Entei and Dynamax Suicune. You'll also be given the chance to battle, and hopefully catch, Gigantamax Machamp during this season! Chansey and Caterpie, along with this Pokémon's evolution line, will also be getting Dynamax versions during this season.

Event-wise, Might and Mastery begins with the Powerful Potential event running from Wednesday 5th March at 10am (local time) to Monday 10th March at 8pm (local time). This event will see the release of previously mentioned seasonal Special Research quest, a Timed Research quest and the Gigantamax Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise returning to Max Battles.

Next up is the Festival of Colors running from Thursday 13th March at 10am (local time) to Monday 17th March at 8pm (local time). Here shiny Bruxish will be released, there will be a free Timed Research quest and you'll have the chance to encounter shiny Smeargle. Remember - shiny Smeargle is only available during specific events, so, if it's missing from your shiny collection, then this will be the time to grab it! (Hopefully.)

The final event we currently have details for is the Dynamax Raikou Max Battle Weekend on Saturday 15th March at 6am (local time) to Sunday 16th March at 9pm (local time). This event obviously sees the release of Dynamax Raikou in Max Battles and there's a free Timed Research quest too.

Might and Mastery egg pool changes in Pokémon Go
Might and Mastery also marks a number of changes to the various egg pools in Pokémon Go. Though it should be noted that the lists below are incomplete. (We didn't see Toxel in the last season, so I'm really hoping it makes a return soon…) It's also important to remember that certain in-game events also change the egg pools for a limited time.
Thanks to the Gift Exchange on Routes, there's also two different egg pools for 7km eggs so, depending on which Pokémon you want, it's worth checking whether you need a 7km egg from opening a Gift from a friend or obtaining it via the Gift Exchange. The same goes for the different Adventure Sync eggs.

What are seasons in Pokémon Go?
Originally introduced in December 2021, seasons are in-game periods of time which last for three months and tie together various events with a theme. During this time, a selection of new features and quality of life changes can also be added to Pokémon Go,
This includes:
- Changes to how Pokémon spawn season-to-season, which may see some creatures appearing more regularly or become rarer in the wild for limited time periods.
- Changes to egg pools and raids.
- Northern and southern hemisphere-specific spawning, coinciding with the real world season themselves.
- Highlight specific Mega Evolutions, giving them a power boost throughout the season.
- Introducing new Dynamax Pokémon.
- Different Deerling forms.
- A new Go Battle League season, which will be the same length as the season itself.
- XP boosts or completing specific activities, such as five-star raids for example.
- Introduce other general quality of life improvements.
- A range of in-game events.
- New Pokémon.
- Occasionally, new features and season long research quests.
